After many years of suffering, with no relief felt from counselling and antidepressants, I thoroughly researched psilocybin. I felt this was the only possible solution of coming to terms with the loss of my Mom and the existential angst her passing left behind. From the initial phonecall to subsequent meeting, I felt a very real connection with Nancy who has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is also understanding, empathetic and puts you at ease. During my ceremony I grieved very hard for my Mom which I had not allowed myself to do for the preceeding 8 years. Nancy was by my side every minute for the whole journey and I can never thank her enough for this as I really needed a guide who would be there every step of the way with me, to help me process my deep emotions and existential thoughts. After the ceremony Nancy helped me to process the experience and gave me valuable advice on how to move forwards and how to look at things differently. I can now feel the potential for a new life, full of acceptance and positivity and joy, and this is as a result of choosing Nancy as my guide for which I will be eternally grateful.

I firstly had a San Pedro retreat with Nancy in Portugal in 2022 and later had the Akashic record reading (at the beginning not really believing in this stuff, but since it’s Nancy who does this I chose to have a try. Turned out quite interesting and inspiring!) . She has a power that is firm but gentle. Hope to experience her retreat in Netherland someday. I went to Nancy’s psilocybin ceremony last week. It was another experience, totally different from San Pedro! I like the form of private ceremony. Nancy had always been attentive and provided timely guidance and encouragement. I love her energy and her way. I do feel that my life is divided by the first retreat (San Pedro) that I had with her. Plus the little cutie James who also helped along the ceremony!

Nancy was very attentive, she provided very thorough explanation on how the process would go, both, during the introductory call as well as before the actual ceremony. She explained what to expect and how to prepare for the ceremony that helped me immensely to prepare for the ceremony. It made me feel safe, I completely trusted Nancy.

The ceremony went in a very safe environment. I highly recommend psilocybin ceremony with Nancy.

I had a powerful and wonderful experience with Nancy who is an excellent, empathetic and highly skilled facilitator. Her business background means that she’s also super organised!

Nancy efficiently arranged an introductory call to go through preparation for the session, and was keen to understand more about me and reasons for wanting to do this experience. There was a lot of useful advice and the call put my mind at ease.

And when I arrived, Nancy was very welcoming and we had a good chat before taking the medicine. This is my second time but first time indoors in an ‘inwards’ self-focused session lying down and at times when it was very intense, it was good to be able to sit up and converse with Nancy on quite a profound level sometimes serious, sometimes fun. Nancy clearly has a lot of expertise in this area especially around the all-important set and setting which is fundamental.

Afterwards, Nancy prepared a delicious light meal, which was exactly what was needed after several hours. We had an enjoyable conversation and I left and wondered around the local town which is very pretty feeling very light on my feet.

My mood has definitely improved since. Nancy arranged a follow-up integration, call where we reflected on the time and what I have gained from it. This is really important because it is very easy to go back to normal life and forget the things that you learned during this time and how to apply them to your life.

I would definitely recommend booking a retreat with Nancy if you wish to discover more about yourself and the world with a kind and gentle facilitator who is deeply invested in the outcome for people in their lives.

Wauw, wat heb ik een ontzettend inzichtvolle en fijne ceremonie gehad! Nancy’s warmte zorgt direct voor een veilig en geborgen gevoel. Daarnaast is er een super lief hondje, James, aanwezig die over je waakt gedurende de ceremonie en voor extra liefde in de ruimte zorgt. Door de kundige, professionele en open houding van Nancy weet je direct dat je in goede handen bent. Dit alles zorgt ervoor dat je je compleet durft over te geven aan jouw reis. Ik ben in werelden gekomen waarvan ik niet had durven dromen dat ze bestaan en heb ik eindelijk een kant van mij durven te ontdekken waar ik bang voor was. Gedurende mijn reis heb ik die durven omarmen en ben ik erachter gekomen dat alle kanten van jou als persoon zijnde mooi zijn op hun eigen manier. Hierdoor sta ik veel meer in verbintenis met mijzelf en kan ik mijn inzichten in het hier en nu nog steeds toepassen. Na jouw reis word je wederom met open armen ontvangen waardoor je een zachte landing maakt. Je krijgt de tijd om rustig te ontwaken en te aarden. Daarna staat er een heerlijke maaltijd voor je klaar. Het voelt alsof je ondergedompeld wordt in een warm bad! Kortom, een ervaring om nooit meer te vergeten en die ik zeker weten nog een keer ga doen bij Nancy!

This was for me a life changing experience. I try to tell people about it but it is difficult. For me, the guidance from Nancy and Isher was invaluable; they created a safe environment for me, a complete novice to plant medicine. The environment of the retreat is incredible and magic.
The experience with San Pedro was a gift to me. For two whole days my ego had no voice; I was with myself and in myself and happier than ever.
This feeling, this experience, this teaching has stayed with me until this day, and I hope it stays forever.
I do plan to go back in August again to discover more of myself.

Greetings Nancy, Isher & Chuma,

Hope you guys are all doing well.

I thought I’d check in to let you know how I have been since the experience. Firstly, you weren’t kidding when you said you would feel low for the days that followed. I think I experienced the peaks of anxiety and the lowest of lows for around a week of returning.

Since then, things have improved. Firstly, I think I came back with an immediate urge of what I needed to sort out in my daily life that was preventing peace (such as quality sleep). Over the last few weeks, I have noticed growing number of occasions I would feel a stillness within me that I have not felt in a long time. While it comes and goes, there have been experiences that would usually cause an emotional or stress response that seem to not be as important as they used to. There is less focus on the past and the future (although I still have strong episodes of getting lost in those areas, it feels like my ego sometimes wins whatever has made this change within me).

That feeling of stillness I believe ultimately is what I wanted and what I needed and to receive that I am thankful to both of you and the medicine. I think it goes to show that you don’t always need profound thoughts or visions for an experience to add deep value to your everyday life. I will likely return to see you all again next summer as I think this medicine has more to show me so this isn’t the end of the story, until then I wish you all the best.

Just a quick note to thank you for the retreat a few weeks ago and for welcoming us into your home. I really feel the benefit from it. The first day was tough at times, but so it should be. Laughed a lot the second day and Lord know we all needed a laugh after the year behind us. Was just what I needed. Suspect I might be knocking on your door in another six months or so for a refresh, ha!

It has been a truly meaningful and beautiful experience at the lighthouse. I want to thank Isher & Nancy for facilitating everything with such a natural flow and kindness. They have created a wonderful spot for healing and sharing. I landed yesterday and it’s a bit strange to be back in my “normal” life, but I feel quite strong, grounded and happy. I have faith that my state of mind they way it is now, is a good starting point from where I can deal with the issues that I need to deal with.

I just returned from a retreat at the Lighthouse and I’ve got to say this was probably the best, most rewarding (and most demanding!) thing I ever did. I’ll blog about the whole thing separately as there’s just too much to put here and I really wanted to say that throughout it all, I can’t imagine having anyone better to manage the retreat than Isher and Nancy. They calmly explained everything to prep me, were respectful with the medicine, checked on me at the perfect times, left me to it when needed and always created such a warm, genuine, friendly environment for the coming 12 hours…or was it 10 years 🙂. A lot can happen here (it certainly did for me) and you need such grounded, kind people who can help you work with it and process it all. So, if you have decided to explore the magic of San Pedro at the Lighthouse then I’d totally recommend it and really hope it helps you as much as it did me. Finally, if it is your first time as it was for me, then I’d advise to read up all the blogs you can beforehand, and then be prepared for the wonderful fact that it might turn out to be nothing at all like what you just read 🙂.

I have had a real spring in my step ever since leaving The Lighthouse, have been feeling lighter, freer, clearer, and have been cutting through the bullshit to have such great, meaningful conversations with those close to me.

I know I said it would be ten years but I have a feeling that I might be back a lot sooner than that!

The lighthouse is in the suburbs/mountains of Portugal. I reached a nearby city easily by train from Porto and got picked up by Isher and Nancy. I felt welcome and safe, there’s a chill/no-nonsense vibe as Isher and Nancy are like that themselves.
The view from the lighthouse was my favorite and just breathtaking; I sat on the terras a lot just enjoying the view, watching cute birds fly in their self-made nest on the house and feeling free.
The ceremonies are professional and they truly know what they are doing. I was able to have a sense of letting go and letting it come over me. No need to get into my personal experience here, it’s just helpful and beautiful. 100% recommend. See you next time!

Since participating in a San Pedro retreat at the Lighthouse, I feel as though I have morphed into all of the positive parts of myself that I thought I had lost, but still hopefully sought out to find. This discovery came about after one of the few times I decided to not give into fear, and allowed myself a couple of days to coexist with the spirit of Huachuma. I am so glad that I did.

Nancy and Isher are incredibly kind hearted, hilarious people whom make you feel safe and cared for, the entirety of your stay with them. The food they made for us every day was amazing, and every day that was spent at the Lighthouse was filled with words of loving encouragement from everyone involved; it really helped to make for a positive experience. I am so grateful to Nancy and Isher for facilitating such profound moments in my life, and for bringing together a group of such wonderful people. I will cherish the memories that were made forever.
